Xsports4vets is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, dedicated to helping veterans take the edge out of civilian life through extreme sports.
On average 22 current conflict United States veterans commit suicide each and every day.
Riverboarding, rafting, trike flying, rock climbing, and skydiving are just a few sports we use to show veterans how to channel reintegration stress and manage adrenaline deprivation. Our discussion sessions–led by local veteran support professionals–introduce skills to battle the conditions so many combat veterans struggle with including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, mild traumatic brain injuries and substance abuse.
On April 1st, 2017, Xsports4vets is organizing a dinner, music and silent auction at Caras Park to help us continue our passion for serving this generation’s veterans. The event will be an opportunity for people to see what Xsports4vets has accomplished in its first seven years of operation and what we seek to accomplish in the next seven years.
We would like to ask that you consider donating items, services or become an event sponsor to help in raising money through our event and silent auction. Your company’s information would be displayed at the event, and it would greatly help us meet our goal for 2017. If you are interested or have questions we can answer about contributing to Xsports4vets, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Thank you in advance for taking the time to read this letter. The veterans of this great state and country need our support.
